The reef barrier of the beach forms one of the most beautiful landscapes of the State, ideal for who wants to enjoy a sunny day and appreciate the sea.

In the North Coast, we can find tranquility and elegance in the perfect destination of the Ecological Route, located only 86 km from Maceió and composed by the small cities of São Miguel dos Milagres, Porto de Pedras and Japaratinga. The Ecological Route attracts tourists looking for desert beaches with clear and warm waters, upscale cuisine, comfort, and rustic charming inns in the seafront, allies with ecologically sustainable tourism.

Away 130km from Maceio, the city of Maragogi is the second major tour- ist destination of Alagoas. The highlights are the Galés of Maragogi and the natural pools, ideal for diving practice. In Addition, several scenarios make up the attractions of the city: fishing village, old mills, plantations of coconut trees, desert beaches, farms with Atlantic Forest trails, preserved rivers and mangroves.

The São Francisco River, one of the most emblematic rivers of Brazil, makes his farewell in Alagoas. Bathing 12 towns and villages, region known as “Caminhos do São Francisco”, the cities are rich in craft and culture. The “Velho Chico” makes his way between canyons and ecological trails. One of the main attractions of the region is the town of Ilha do Ferro, located in the city of Pão de Açucar, which is noticeable by its diverse handicrafts made of wood, coconuts, leather, embroidery, straw and bobbin lace.
